Power Outage At DenverChannel HQ

Our headquarters has suffered a catastrophic power failure that also knocked out the backup power so we are currently unable to update TheDenverChannel.com. There is no estimate for fixing this but rest assured we have many people working on it at this time.

Kenyon Martin: It's deja vu news all over again

On January 29, our investigators reported on Nuggets' star Kenyon Martin apparently getting special treatment for two speeding tickets. We've had the story online, along with the video report and digital copies of the tickets:

On Tuesday, March 11, the Rocky Mountain News reported the same story all over again:

Busy News Day Monday

We received word that Tess Damm, the Lafayette teenager charged wtih the first-degree murder in the slaying of her mother, entered a guilty plea to lesser charges Monday in Boulder.

A few minutes later, we received word from our reporter in Fort Collins that the jury deliberating the fate of Shawna Nelson had reached a verdict in that case. She's accused of first-degree murder in the ambush slaying of the wife of a former lover. We're livestreaming the courtroom camera.

Do you realize that to camp in Colorado campground with a reservation you must have a credit card? Also that you cannot use American Express. I called the St. Varain St. Park and was told That I could drive down there and if there was an open spot I could camp for two days but if someone with a credit card wanted to reserve the spot I was in I would have to leave. In my opinion in this day and age of Identity theft and high gas prices a credit card is not a good investment and driving from park to park to find a camping spot is not worth it. It would seem that those of us not useing credit cards should not have to pay taxes to support campgrounds we cannoy use. Tom Allen Johnstown, CO.
